Merino Top with Hand-Sewn Buttons

A unique merino piece, hand-finished with hundreds of mother-of-pearl buttons.

This sleeveless top is knitted from soft Italian merino wool and finished entirely by hand in our Berlin studio.
Each mother-of-pearl button is individually attached, one by one, through hours of meticulous work. The process transforms a simple silhouette into something sculptural and quietly opulent.

This is not a regular line piece — it’s a unique creation that reflects the time and care behind it. Every button is sewn by hand, making each top slightly different and truly one of a kind.

The top has a smooth knit body and a fine ribbed finish at the lower edge, giving gentle structure and shape.. The black merino wool edition is timeless and versatile, designed to be worn across seasons — layered over shirts or directly on the skin.

AEM Berlin garments are made slowly and responsibly. By producing locally in our Berlin studio, we keep quality high, waste low, and every edition intentionally small.
